Pet Vaccinations & Preventive Care
Preserving & Protecting Your Companion's Health
Preventive veterinary care is designed to protect your dog or cat against common medical disorders and diseases.
When paired with routine wellness examinations, vaccinations and parasite prevention form the foundation of a comprehensive healthcare plan.
Preventive care gives your pet the best chance at a long, healthy life. Our team will assess your pet's risk factors and lifestyle, then work with you to create a custom preventive care plan to meet their unique needs. This plan can also include additional services like spaying and neutering and microchipping.

Your dog should receive a series of boosters one year after completing their puppy vaccinations.
Periodic boosters are necessary to safeguard your dog's health throughout its lifetime. Boosters are designed to 'boost' your dog's immunity against the various illnesses vaccinated against during its first year of life.
The schedule for boosters varies between vaccines and based on the dog's risk factors. Your veterinarian will inform you when these vaccinations should be administered to your canine companion.
Approximate booster schedule for dogs:
- DHPP for Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus (Every three years)
- Rabies (Every one to three years, depending on the vaccine provided)
- Bordetella (Optional vaccine can be provided every six to 12 months depending on risk factors)
- Leptospirosis (Optional vaccine can be provided every 12 months depending on risk factors)
- Lyme (Optional vaccine can be provided every 12 months depending on risk factors)
Spaying & Neutering
Spaying or neutering your cat or dog prevents the birth of unwanted litters, protects your pet against various illnesses, and can help prevent unwanted behaviours like aggression.

Parasite Prevention
Parasites can pose a serious threat to the health and longevity of your cat or dog. Some parasites can also be transmitted between pets and, in some cases, even to people, posing a significant risk to the members of your family.
Parasite prevention products can help protect your dog or cat from common parasites such as fleas, ticks, ear mites, intestinal parasites and heartworms.
Microchipping
While collars and tags are important, there's no guarantee these won't become lost. Our veterinarians can place a tiny microchip under your pet's skin as a permanent form of identification.
Pets that are microchipped have a better chance of being reunited with their owners if they become lost.
