Dr. Jackie Gordon

Dr. Gordon graduated from the University of Minnesota, Duluth with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology before pursuing her passion to become a veterinarian at the Ontario Veterinary College. Upon graduation in 2002, she began her career in a small animal practice in Kingston, Ontario. In 2006, she moved to the Ottawa area and worked in a busy small animal practice in Kemptville for four and a half years before taking over ownership of Barrhaven Veterinary Hospital in March of 2011.
Jackie and her partner have recently become residents of the Barrhaven community. They share their life with one Jack Russell Terrier, a Standard Schnauzer, a Chihuahua, and one very tolerant cat.
When she is not working, Jackie enjoys reading, baking, and running with her dogs. Apart from becoming a veterinarian and practice owner, her greatest personal achievement is running and completing her first half marathon at Ottawa Race Weekend in 2010.

Hello, my name is Heather. I have been a Client Service Specialist at the Barrhaven Veterinary Hospital since March 2010.
I wear my heart on my sleeve when it comes to my love of animals, particulary cats! I am fortunate to have found my place here at Barrhaven Veterinary Hospital, where we all share this love and work so well as a caring, devoted team. It will be my pleasure to greet you and your family, answer your telephone calls, and assist you in any way that I can. I am here to help, so please don’t hesitate to ask questions.
I am a proud Mum (and yes, servant) to my beautiful black and white cat, Shadow, and handsome Flemish Giant rabbit, Benjamin. I also have Baby, a chatty cockatiel who lives at the hospital. He is often heard singing, talking, and impersonating the microwave!
Outside of work, you can always find me with a good book. I am an avid reader. Recently, cycling has become a passion of mine. I really enjoy the 10 kilometer ride to and from work every day! My goal is to one day complete a 100 kilometer ride!
